Kochi: India fast bowler Sreesanth will release a special logo to mark the 60th year of the All India Pooja Cricket Tournament, one of the oldest tounaments in the country on June 26.
Veteran Kerala cricketer P Ravi Achan will release a CD `Glimpses of the tournament on yesteryears` by handing over a copy to T R Balakrishnan, President, Kerala Cricket Association on the occasion, P V Ramachandran, General Convener of Pooja Cricket Organising Committee said.
An MoU would also be signed that day with sponsor Airtel, he said.
Ramakrishnan said a special feature of the tournament was that it has been held without a break so far.
The tournament is conducted by Tripunithra Cricket club.
Several former India players like G R Viswanath, Brijesh Patel, V B Chandrasekhar, Mohammed Azharuddin, Venkatesh Prasad, V V Kumar, Kiran More, Sudhir Naik, Arun Lal and Sunil Joshi have played in the tournament on various occasions, he said.
